4 New Hotspots in New York for Fall 2024

As summer ends and fall is in the air with cozy hotspots popping up all over New York, here are our 4 favorites for the season!

The glitzy spot opened Friday, September 20th in The Penn District, Alessa Cucina e Bar is the latest venture from Thomas Murphy of 212 Hospitality Group (Juniper Bar, Bourbon & Branch). Executive Chef Denevin Miranda, formerly Head Chef at 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge, will introduce a slice of ‘La Dolce Vita’ to Midtown with housemade pizzas from an Italian-imported oven, Italian Caviar Bumps, and contemporary Italian dishes. Don’t miss the Aperitivo Hour! The beverage program is helmed by Damiano Corren, previously of Employees Only and Sant Ambroeus.

PB Brasserie

Starting Tuesday, September 17th, PB Brasserie is the largest opening yet from Harlem-bred and Senegal-born Chef & Owner Elhadji Cisse, the force behind Ponty Bistro, Harlem Cafe and Renaissance in Harlem. Located on W. 125th Street, steps from the Apollo Theater, this 4,500-square-foot restaurant will be the largest opening the area has seen in years. PB Brasserie will serve the community daily with breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all with a French flair.

Starting September 18th, Wallflower is a 70s-inspired listening bar and speakeasy cocktail lounge from the Parched Hospitality Team behind Hole in the Wall. Located on the penthouse lounge level of the Flatiron location, the venue offers a vinyl-driven music experience paired with a curated selection of classic cocktails and bar bites. The space features mid-century modern design with Australian influences, and nearly everything—from the furniture to the décor—is available for purchase.
